Peeq Pro Foaming Cleanser: Where Eye Health Meets Everyday Skincare
Share
The Peeq Pro Foaming Cleanser is a revolutionary product designed to serve both a medical eye care purpose and an elevated consumer skincare experience. Its benefits are dual: it is clinically effective while remaining enjoyable to use. Created by Board-Certified Optometrists Dr. Christopher Wolfe and Dr. Cheryl Chapman, Peeq Pro was developed to meet patient needs by relieving discomfort and supporting long-term eye health, all while delivering a pleasant scent and luxurious texture.
How to Use the Peeq Pro Tea Tree Oil Cleanser
To use the Peeq Pro tea tree oil cleanser, dispense one to two pumps onto clean fingertips. Gently massage onto the eyelids, eyelashes, and the rest of the face. Cleansing can be done manually, with a cellulose sponge, or using the Peeq Waiva.
Spend approximately 15 seconds massaging the cleanser into the lashes and lids to effectively remove eye makeup, oils, and biofilm particulates. Leaving the cleanser on for up to one minute before rinsing is optional and may enhance results.
What Makes the Peeq Pro Formula Unique
The Peeq Pro Foaming Cleanser is formulated with a combination of efficacy ingredients and sensorial ingredients. Efficacy ingredients ensure the product performs safely and effectively, while sensorial ingredients enhance the experience through texture, scent, and feel. While sensorial ingredients engage multiple senses, the cleanser is not intended to be tasted.
Efficacy ingredients include anti-infectives as well as components that protect the integrity and stability of the formula. Sensorial ingredients are often botanical in nature and may also function as efficacy ingredients, as there is intentional overlap between these two categories.
Tea Tree Oil and Terpinen-4-ol Benefits
One of the most important ingredients in Peeq Pro is terpinen-4-ol, the primary active compound found in tea tree oil. Tea tree oil has been shown to help eliminate Demodex mites and support the prevention and management of blepharitis, a chronic inflammatory condition of the eyelids.
Terpinen-4-ol also possesses natural antimicrobial and anti-inflammatory properties, likely due to its ability to disrupt the cell walls of harmful pathogens. When combined with Peeq Pro’s gentle surfactant system and additional efficacy ingredients, terpinen-4-ol delivers powerful yet gentle cleansing results.
Gentle Surfactants That Help Remove Biofilm
The primary surfactant in Peeq Pro is sodium C14-16 olefin sulfonate, a gentle and biodegradable cleansing agent. It is combined with cocamidopropyl hydroxysultaine, which boosts foam and thickness, and cocamidopropyl betaine, which helps stabilize bubbles and viscosity.
A small amount of sodium chloride is added to thicken and stabilize the surfactant system, transforming the formula from a thin liquid into the rich, luxurious foam users know and love.
Together, the surfactants and tea tree compounds help break up biofilms in the eye area. Biofilms are secretions of proteins and lipids produced by bacteria that can clog oil glands and contribute to chronic dry eye, improper tear film balance, redness, and irritation.
Hydration and Skin Barrier Support
Another key ingredient in the Peeq Pro Foaming Cleanser is vegetable glycerin, a well-established hydrating ingredient that has been used in skincare for over 50 years and is found naturally in the skin.
Vegetable glycerin acts as a humectant, drawing moisture from the air into the skin. This helps support and repair the skin’s natural moisture barrier, allowing for effective cleansing without dryness or tightness.
Sensorial Botanicals With Skincare Benefits
Peeq Pro’s sensorial ingredients include lavender, peppermint, and oregano essential oils, which contribute both fragrance and functional skincare benefits.
Lavender oil offers calming and antihistamine properties that may help reduce inflammation and discomfort. Peppermint oil provides the cooling sensation associated with the Peeq experience while also offering antibacterial and antiviral properties that can help soothe irritation and itchiness. Oregano oil is rich in antioxidants and has antimicrobial properties that may help support skin clarity, tone, and overall skin health.
A Holistic Cleanser for Eyes and Face
The Peeq Pro Foaming Cleanser is a holistic yet highly effective solution designed to leave your eyes, eyelids, and face clean, refreshed, and comfortable. Whether used as part of a dry eye routine or as a daily facial cleanser, Peeq Pro delivers professional-grade results in an easy, at-home format.
