Finding the Right Products for Specialty Contact Lenses

Finding the Right Products for Specialty Contact Lenses

Peeq Pro offers an array of products that are used by patients with their Orthokeratology lenses and scleral lenses. These range from general products to very specific and difficult to find ones.

As the CEO of the company, I want to explain why we do this. Importantly, these products can be sold at a profit.

More importantly, Peeq Pro was started to help patients find the products that their eye care professional has prescribed. Frequently, products are confused, go on back order, or are simply not available within a reasonable distance.

So, that’s what Peeq Pro does. We deliver the right eye health products to the patient’s door.

Orthokeratology

Most of our Orthokeratology boxes are targeted at parents who are seeking to provide the correct products for their child.

These boxes usually include:

  • A contact lens solution: Orthokeratology lenses are hard lenses, called rigid gas permeable lenses (RGPs). They need special (and sometimes hard to find) solution.
  • Plungers: Removing hard lenses can be difficult. Plungers are small devices used for that purpose.
  • An eye drop: Contacts (particularly RGPs) can be irritating and affect the moisture level in the eye. Doctors recommend specific eye drops to be used with contact lenses. Not every drop is created equally for this purpose.
  • A mirror: Many kids struggle to insert Orthokeratology lenses. Mirrors can be really helpful - particularly when traveling or outside of a bathroom.
  • A mesh bag: The bag is mesh to help allow products to dry out if there is water or solution on them. They also make contact lens and product carrying easy - for example, for overnight outings.

These boxes are designed to each office’s specific needs and desires. Peeq Pro tries to accommodate product requests.

Scleral Contact Lenses

Scleral contact lenses fit over the entire colored part of the eye (the iris and pupil). Therefore, they sit on the sclera (the white part of the eye). They are hard lenses that are pretty large compared to dailies or even OrthoK lenses.

Our scleral boxes have many of the same products as our OrthoK boxes, and for basically the same reasons. But they also include scleral fill. Scleral fill is exceptionally difficult to find at a retail store despite the many scleral contact lenses wearers. Peeq Pro carries a wide variety of scleral fills because doctors may desire different types of “fill” for different types of patients.

In conclusion, if you are a doctor or patient looking to make your specialty contact lens experience easier. Contact us at info@getpeeq.com or simply shop at the main Peeq Pro website.

We’d love to talk about what we have learned and potentially offer you some solutions.
